Description

Yoga Therapy for PTSD & C‑PTSD: Evidence‑Based Trauma‑Informed Training

More people are turning to yoga for PTSD and C‑PTSD as complementary approaches to healing. With growing clinical research and pioneering contributions from trauma specialists, the therapeutic potential of yoga is becoming widely recognised. At The Minded Institute, we’re proud to lead the way in offering evidence-based, trauma-informed yoga therapy to support those navigating post-traumatic stress.

In a 2023 survey conducted by The Minded Institute in partnership with PTSD UK, 85% of participants with PTSD or C‑PTSD reported a reduction in symptoms after using body-centred approaches like yoga. This is a compelling statistic, especially given that conventional gold-standard treatments are not always effective or appropriate for everyone.

Yoga offers those with PTSD & C-PTSD:

  • Greater nervous system regulation
  • Improved body awareness and reconnection
  • Increased tolerance of emotional states
  • Enhanced personal agency
  • Long-term improvements in self-regulation and relational capacity

Why Choose This Yoga Therapy Training for PTSD & C‑PTSD?

The Minded Institute has been at the forefront of yoga therapy for PTSD for over a decade. We continue to evolve our approach based on clinical feedback, lived experience, and advances in trauma research.

This unique course also recognises that complex PTSD (C‑PTSD) presents differently than PTSD alone, often involving long-term difficulties in forming, maintaining and sustaining relationships, emotional dysregulation, and negative self-affect. These patterns can easily be mistaken for personality traits, making traditional treatment difficult and often incomplete. This training helps address that gap.

When applied with care and clinical insight, trauma-informed yoga therapy can support deep self-reflection, offer new ways of relating to one’s symptoms, and promote sustainable healing. This course equips you to apply yoga therapy with nuance and safety, tailored to both PTSD and C‑PTSD.
