Scholarships

At The Minded Institute, we are committed to widening access to high-quality training for those supporting individuals and communities with complex needs.

In partnership with our Course Leaders, we offer a limited number of fully and part-funded places across selected Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses. These scholarships are intended for practitioners who come from communities that are underrepresented within yoga therapy and working with populations facing inequality or deprivation. They aim to make our specialist training available to those bringing yoga therapy into spaces where it can have the greatest impact.

To ensure fairness and avoid bias, all applications are reviewed independently by Fierce Calm,a UK-registered non-profit working in mental health, trauma recovery, and resilience programmes within healthcare and humanitarian settings.

We currently offer the following scholarship opportunities:

The Sally Roach Scholarship provides £5,000 toward Integrative Yoga Psychotherapy training.

It will be awarded to one accredited yoga therapist whose work reflects the depth, compassion and ethical grounding that Sally embodied, but who would otherwise be unable to undertake the training due to financial constraint.

A contribution of £1,200 is required from the successful applicant, with the remaining £5,000 of course fees covered by the scholarship.

Applicants must:

  • Be an accredited yoga therapist
  • Meet all entry requirements for the IYP training
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrate alignment with values of compassion, maturity, and reflective depth in therapeutic work

Graduates of The Minded Institute are eligible to apply.

Yoga therapists who trained elsewhere must complete an assessment process and undertake the required bridging course before entering IYP. Those already enrolled in the IYP training may also apply.

Sally’s work was deeply informed by Buddhist philosophy, and an openness to its contribution to therapeutic practice may be beneficial.
