Careers in Yoga Therapy

Careers in yoga therapy are developing across healthcare, community, clinical, educational and private-practice settings. However, the routes into this work are not always clearly defined, and there remains a need for greater visibility around how yoga therapy is being applied in practice.

This ongoing series, established by Heather Mason and Robin Rothenberg, brings together yoga therapists, trainees and other professionals to explore the realities of working within the field. Through recorded panel discussions, speakers share their professional journeys, current work, emerging opportunities and the challenges involved in developing sustainable careers in yoga therapy.

The Importance of This Series

The series was created in response to a number of shared observations: the need for clearer insight into real-world yoga therapy practice; greater understanding of what is working, what remains challenging and where the field is developing; and more continuity in professional dialogue beyond individual events and conferences.

It also aims to support those entering the profession with a realistic understanding of possible career pathways, while highlighting the breadth and impact of work already taking place across different settings.

The series will continue to grow over time, providing an ongoing platform for dialogue, visibility and professional development within yoga therapy.
