On Demand Workshop: Yoga Therapy for Anxiety – 4 Weeks of Practice with Heather Mason
£40.00
Yoga Therapy for Anxiety is a four-week online anxiety course led by Heather Mason, founder of The Minded Institute. Designed as a cumulative series, each session builds on the last, supporting nervous system regulation through therapeutic yoga practices informed by neuroscience and clinical experience.
Across four consecutive weeks, you’ll develop a practical toolkit of breathing, posture, and movement practices to help reduce anxiety in everyday life. The course is offered as a complete four-week series only and includes live teaching, recordings, and space for questions. No previous yoga experience is required.
This workshop is hosted on an online learning platform, which you will be redirected to upon clicking the purchase button.
This series is an evolution of our previous monthly anxiety workshops – recordings still available for only £5
Description
Anxiety is not just a state of mind. Your heart races, your breath becomes shallow, your shoulders tense, your palms sweat. It disrupts how you think, how you feel, how you connect to yourself and others. This four-week anxiety course works with these experiences through the body, breath, nervous system, thought patterns, and emotional regulation.
How yoga and yoga therapy reduce anxiety
Yoga can work with all of these dimensions: body, breath, nervous system, thought patterns, and emotional regulation. It is well recognised for reducing anxiety in the moment and, over time, shifting underlying patterns.
Yoga therapy goes further. It is, as the term suggests, a form of therapy. Clinical understanding of the physiology and psychology of anxiety shapes not only which practices are taught, but how they are taught: voice, pacing, language, sensitivity to overwhelm, and attention to what creates safety. The teaching adapts to what you can actually work with.
A four-week anxiety course that builds over time
This four-week series builds on our free monthly anxiety workshops (of which the recordings are still available for purchase for £5 each) by developing knowledge and skill cumulatively. Each week provides the foundation for the next, building your capacity to recognise how anxiety is expressed in your body and to respond with practices that reduce it.
By week four, you have both a working toolkit and the understanding of why and when to apply it. For this reason, the course is offered as a complete four-week series and is not available to book as individual sessions.
What you will learn
Over four consecutive weeks, Heather Mason will guide you in building a personal toolkit of breathing, posture, and movement practices developed through more than twenty years of clinical work with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Practices introduced early are returned to, adapted, and deepened, allowing understanding to develop through repetition rather than instruction alone. Between sessions, you are encouraged to practise at home using short, realistic exercises that support the nervous system without becoming another demand.
By the end of the series, you have a set of practices you understand through use and experience, not theory.
Each session includes time for questions. This allows space to reflect on what you are noticing in your own body, to clarify practices, and to deepen understanding through lived experience.
