About

Nadia Porrati is a fully qualified yoga therapist working with a range of physical and mental health conditions, with a particular focus on anxiety, depression, and chronic low back pain. Her work integrates evidence-based yoga therapy with principles from neuroscience, psychology, and mindfulness, offering a holistic, trauma-informed approach to health and wellbeing. Her therapeutic approach is deeply influenced by classical yoga philosophy and mindfulness practices rooted in the Theravada Buddhist tradition.

In addition to her roles as a yoga therapist and yoga teacher, Nadia is a Level 3 Personal Trainer with a growing specialisation in chronic low back pain and musculoskeletal health. She is currently working towards GP exercise referral qualification and is training within NHS-aligned pathways, including the Yoga4Health social prescribing programme developed by Paul Fox and Heather Mason. This work supports her intention to contribute to preventative healthcare and to work with vulnerable populations within community and clinical settings.

Nadia’s approach is strongly informed by principles of lifestyle medicine, with a particular interest in the role of movement, behaviour change, and nutrition in long-term health outcomes. She holds a Diploma in Wellness Coaching from Health Sciences University (Italy) and foundational training in nutrition, and she is committed to further developing her expertise in this field as part of her ongoing professional development.

Having practiced yoga and holistic therapies for over 15 years, and teaching for the past six, Nadia brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Her personal journey through chronic low back pain, anxiety, and depression has profoundly shaped her therapeutic approach, grounding it in compassion, accessibility, and a deep understanding of the mind–body connection. Alongside her yoga therapy work, she is also a trained Sound Energy Medicine Practitioner, integrating sound-based practices where appropriate to support nervous system regulation and deep relaxation.

Nadia is currently further developing specialised therapeutic programmes aimed at supporting individuals experiencing persistent pain and common mental health conditions, with a focus on sustainable, evidence-informed, and client-centred approaches.

In her spare time, Nadia enjoys continued study, personal development, and spending time in nature, and can often be found exploring the intersection between movement, mindfulness, and integrative health.
