About
Lorna Fisher is a yoga therapist whose areas of interest include – anxiety/stress and depression, Parkinson’s Disease & Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, Insomnia and Peri-Menopause/Menopause.
Lorna has practiced yoga for over 25 years initially as a way to counterbalance the demands of work as a Lawyer (domestic and international) and busy city living but it soon became an integral part of her daily life inspiring her to train as a yoga teacher and teach part time in addition to working in Law.
Lorna remains passionate about the transformative effects of practicing yoga at whatever stage in life you are and having navigated law, motherhood and yoga teaching decided to explore further the reasons why yoga helps us feels so good not just physically but also mentally and physiologically.
In addition to working with adults in a variety of settings from private classes to groups and workplace wellness, Lorna also works with children and adolescents in schools and offers yoga and mindfulness classes to sixth formers helping them navigate teenage pressures and exam anxiety.
Lorna’s interest in the therapeutic benefits of yoga led her to train and qualify as a yoga therapist with The Minded Institute and she continues to work with individuals navigating complex medical conditions, life long neurological conditions whilst offering practices to help those suffering anxiety/stress or the symptoms of the peri/menopause.
Lorna has a red belt in Tae Kwon Do, is a keen runner and when not out walking with her family and dog can usually be found enjoying her passions for dance and the arts.
