About
After more than 20 years of experience working in health and social care settings as both a nurse and manager, Julie Robinson took the plunge and moved further into her study of yoga after many years of practice. She completed her first teacher training in 2005 and her BWY Diploma training a few years later. Julie undertook her yoga therapy training with Minded in 2018, completed her IAYT 815 hours training in 2023, and is now working as a full-time yoga therapist.
Julie is a senior supervisor for TMI, acts as the Assessor for the 2023 cohort and is part of the final Case Study Assessment team, all of which supports her own professional development.
She is currently training in Advanced Supervision Skills and is excited to be joining the Integrative Yoga Psychotherapy training in 2024.
As a supervisor Julie aims to offer a kind and boundaried listening space where practitioners can explore their client/ student work in greater depth, receive constructive feedback and practical guidance from a position of experience.
As a friendly, down-to-earth, interested, and creative yoga therapist, Julie has a real interest in guiding her clients towards finding ease in their bodies and minds, and becoming empowered through yoga enquiry, somatic work, and philosophy. She works with a diverse range of clients, but her areas of special interest are stress management, sleep support, navigating life changes, grief and loss, support through cancer, and women’s wellbeing.
Julie runs various weekly classes and workshops and offers retreats in the UK and overseas annually. She is available for online or in-person work.
