About
Julie is a Minded Yoga Therapist and a trainee Integrative Yoga Psychotherapist with extensive experience in supporting clients through a variety of health challenges.
Her journey began in her 20s, using meditation to find balance and calm. As her yoga practice deepened, it helped her navigate difficult life experiences and fostered a healthier, more mindful approach to living. Following the passing of her mother, these practices took on even greater significance, offering Julie both solace and a space for healing.
This personal transformation inspired Julie to make a career change in her late 40s. Taking a leap of faith, she enrolled in a yoga teacher training course and hasn’t looked back since.
Julie specialises in 1:1 and group yoga therapy within addiction treatment centres, as well as therapeutic chair yoga in care homes. She also trains teachers in Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga, both 1:1 and alongside Liz Oppedijk in the UK and USA.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, getting out into nature and pottering in the garden. She’s also developed a love of travel and enjoys keeping active with walking and weight training. Yoga, meditation and exploring the breath are a big part of her life, both personally and professionally.
