About
Work stress and backache brought Judy to yoga—it was so successful that she trained to teach. After retiring from education, Judy trained with The Minded Institute, and later became a Supervisor of trainee students which keeps her up to date with latest research. Subsequent training with Drs Gerbarg and Brown (Body, Breath, Mind (BBM) Foundation) deepened her understanding and appreciation of the breath’s significance. The simple, safe, effective breathing practices are medically proven to restore balance to the nervous system, create well-being and enhance quality of life. The practices have been used around the world to support trauma survivors and Judy has used them in BBM courses for Ukrainians. These practices work well with yoga and deepen its benefits. Everyone can gain from a programme of yoga, breathing and mindfulness tailored to suit particular needs, whether physical and/or mental. Judy currently teaches one-to-one or in small group settings, either in person or on Zoom. In 2023, Judy embarked on her training as an Integrative Yoga Psychotherapist with The Minded Institute. Judy also supervises both trainee and qualified Yoga Therapists.
