About

Elizabeth has been teaching yoga since 2009. Trained with The British Wheel of Yoga, she continued her studies with The Minded Institute in London, becoming a yoga therapist specialised in mental health. Elizabeth is also a mindfulness facilitator, having trained with Bangor University, Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practise. She teaches the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, as well as other mindfulness-based interventions.

Working with a trauma-informed lens, she has a special interest in making yoga therapy and mindfulness-based practices available to refugee populations and is one of the teacher trainers with The Yoga Mandala Project, an international grassroots project providing psycho-social support and trauma-informed yoga to those displaced by war and conflict, and those who serve them.

Elizabeth has taught in a variety of settings from studios to schools, and has volunteered with Mind, ReThink and the NHS.
