About

Elaine is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Minded Yoga Therapist working in private practice in central London (EC1, N1 and WC1) and online, and for charitable organisations, including Body and Soul and the Listening Place.

As a senior supervisor and supervision manager for the Minded Institute, Elaine oversees the development and client work of Minded trainees, C-IAYT candidates, IYP trainees, and practitioners working in mind-body disciplines, psychotherapy and counselling.

Elaine has been instrumental in the development of the new Integrative Yoga Psychotherapy diploma, being offered for the first time in 2023, and is one of the course directors. As well as lecturing for Minded, she is also on the Institute’s Advisory Board.

Having practiced yoga since her early 20s, the transformative potential of yoga therapy came into focus for Elaine as a way of managing work-related stress and overcoming grief at the loss of a parent in her 50s. This personal experience encouraged Elaine to depart from her successful career in publishing and online media to train on new paths of yoga therapy and psychotherapy and to develop her own integration of mind-body therapy, Live and Breathe Therapy.
