About
Dr. Gráinne Turley-Gibson is a clinical psychologist who specialises in working with young people, families and adults. She has expertise in assessing and treating those who have experienced trauma and emotional difficulties. She has worked in primary, secondary and tertiary mental health services, both in the community and inpatient settings. Dr Turley has a keen interest in the mind-body connection and integrates body-based therapies, such as techniques from sensorimotor therapy to support healing from mental distress. She is also a qualified yoga therapist, combining talking, breath practices and movement in her approach.
Grainne previously worked as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the National and Specialist Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service at the Maudsley Hospital (NHS) 2015-2022 in London, having worked in the NHS since 2010. She moved back to Ireland in 2022, where she currently runs her own private practice offering talk therapy, yoga therapy and a combination of both online and in person. She offers an integrative approach of evidence based effective therapies, DBT and trauma-focused interventions (pro-longed exposure) as well as yoga therapy practices.
