About
Alina is a qualified yoga therapist and experienced yoga teacher with a strong focus on mental health and emotional well-being. Originally trained in law, Alina’s personal struggles with severe social anxiety, panic attacks, and depression led her to yoga and mindfulness as a means of healing. Over time, this practice evolved into a deep passion for yoga therapy, where she found a powerful bridge between science, mindfulness, movement, breath work, and mental well-being.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Alina specialises in yoga therapy for anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation, integrating mindfulness, movement and breath-based practices to support self-regulation and resilience. She also has experience working with Parkinson’s disease, COPD, cancer patients, chronic fatigue, hypermobility, menopause, sleep disorders, and trauma-informed movement. Additionally, she has assisted in Adaptive Yoga classes for people with disabilities and worked with elderly populations and children.
Currently, Alina leads The Minded Institute’s 8-week yoga therapy course for anxiety and depression, providing structured, research-backed support for those struggling with mental health challenges. She also runs a long-standing community yoga and mindfulness group at Mind, one of the UK’s leading mental health charities. Through this work, she has witnessed the profound impact of mindfulness, body-based and breath-centered practices in fostering connection, self-acceptance, and emotional balance.
Alina’s therapeutic approach blends breathwork, movement, and mindfulness with scientific understanding, making yoga therapy accessible, trauma-sensitive, and adaptable to diverse populations. She is particularly passionate about the transformative power of breath regulation, recognising it as a fundamental tool for nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and overall well-being. Whether working one-on-one or in group settings, she helps individuals develop a deeper awareness of the breath as a pathway to inner safety, agency, and ease.
Outside of teaching, Alina enjoys bouldering, contact improvisation, and exploring movement-based mindfulness. She primarily works in Westminster.
