Law enforcement, school teachers and healthcare providers are some occupations that deal with chronic stress, health issues due to sleep disturbances and high employee turnover. “Long-Term Improvements in Psychological Health Following a Yoga-Based Program for Professionals” looked at how yoga could be used to reduce burn out, compassion fatigue and workplace stress. The original results showed that up to 2 months post-program participants experienced improved resilience, mindfulness, self-empowerment and self-compassion while reducing their stress levels. This new research report reviews participants to see if the same results are sustained at 4 – 6 months post-program.
