A new research report – “Decoding the development of the human hippocampus” – provides a look into the cell types, molecular features and transcriptional regulation of a developing human hippocampus. It also illustrates spatially specific gene expression in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. This data can be used when researching other short-term and long-term memory related diseases.
