Paul Fox is the Chief Operating Officer of The Yoga In Healthcare Alliance (YIHA), a registered charity which aims to integrate evidence-based yoga into healthcare. Paul has helped to grow YIHA into the leading organisation for yoga in healthcare in the UK, with a teaching community of over 400 members.
Paul is a former Chair of the British Wheel of Yoga where he pioneered a new direction for the organisation focusing on standards, diversity, and inclusion. He is also a past Chair of British Wheel of Yoga Qualifications (BWYQ), an Ofqual-regulated awarding body. He worked alongside colleagues to achieve accreditation for YIHA’s NHS-commissioned Yoga4Health programme from the Personalised Care Institute, set up by the Royal College of GPs to accredit training in social prescribing and universal personalised care.
Paul co-authored Yoga on Prescription with Heather Mason, published in 2022. He is also the author of Yoga Quest and has written over 50 articles for yoga magazines and journals. Paul has been teaching and practicing yoga for 27 years. He worked as a BBC Radio 4 journalist for 23 years before making yoga his full-time profession.
