Veena is a Yoga Therapist for Mental Health specialising in helping people manage symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. She is also a 500hr RYT, researcher and lecturer, and has been a yoga therapy supervisor since 2011Veena also delivers cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) based-interventions within the Harrow IAPT service, Central and North West London NHS Trust, where she works as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
Veena’s particular areas of interests are psychology and neuroscience. She combines her academic and clinical experience in stress and its effects on health, with her experience and knowledge of yoga and mindfulness and how they can benefit mental health. As a supervisor Veena takes pleasure in providing guidance for yoga therapy trainees and graduates. Her compassionate and supportive approach is fundamental to the development and growth of her supervisees’ skills, knowledge and confidence.
