Since 2006 there has been a growing interest in yoga’s potential to transform the lives of trauma survivors.
In this information rich professional training seminar, Heather Mason will review the how complex trauma presents in the brain and why yoga is uniquely suited to promote neurological changes that support healing and overall improved psychological and physiological functioning for trauma survivors.
The seminar will review salient studies on yoga and PTSD as well as offering unique tips of how to effectively use yoga to work with trauma based on neuroscientific insight.
Heather Mason is an international leader in Yoga Therapy for PTSD and has been training professionals in her techniques for years. Heather suffered from complex PTSD and spent much of her academic journey (including post graduate education in neuroscience, physiology, and psychotherapy) and personal journey finding ways to heal.
Her approach is unique, evidence based, compassionate and potent; drawing heavily on an understanding of how movement, breathing, and mindfulness and change brain functioning.
