In this 7-hour workshop for psychologists and therapists, Heather Mason (founder of the Minded Institute and yoga therapist) & Dr Samantha Bottrill (senior clinical psychologist and yoga therapist) will teach basic psychological therapists yoga practices that can easily be incorporated into therapeutic work and expediently support stress reduction for clients.
This is a short version of our British Psychological Society accredited CPD course which focuses on the practices that are most relevant to supporting clients in these anxiety provoking times.
We will focus on:
- Key breath practices to help clients manage anxiety
- Understanding how these breath modifications impact physiology and psychology
- How to best talk to clients about including yogic practices in therapeutic work
- Basic yoga practices that can be used in therapeutic work to promote greater emotion regulation and improved patient self-efficacy
